Introducing the new vinyl open deck in Macclesfield town, the format has had a bit of a shake up from its previous iteration, but we reckon this formula is going to be something really special!

How it works:

– This is a strictly vinyl-only open decks with no sync, no looping, and no FX, just solid track selection and pure mixing skills.

– Play whatever genre you want, seriously – anything goes here, we’re genre fluid. 

– We have 4×30 min slots (from 8-10) these are for DJs who are either a bit rusty, inexperienced or complete newbys just wanting to play some of their favourite records to a captive audience.

– Then we have 3×1 hour slots (10-1), these are only for solid DJs that have proven their skills, either by killing a previous 30 min slot, or providing a mix beforehand.

– Equipment provided: (2x Technics SL-1200 MK2 & a 2-channel Ecler Nuo 2.0 mixer)

– Please bring your own headphones if possible – and records ofc!!!

Freq Show is the perfect space for DJs to come together, practise and network and for open minded music lovers to enjoy a wide range of sounds from some seriously skilled selectors.

Events are held on the last Friday of every month at:

Mash Guru, 5 Back Wallgate, SK11 6LQ.

Right in the centre of Macclesfield, only a stone’s throw from the train station and with nearby parking at Waters Green Car Park.
